Interviewers in All 16 Voivodeships
Our field team covers the entire country — urban and rural. No location is too remote for our network.
Face-to-face fieldwork & in-person data collection across Poland
CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) is a face-to-face data collection method where a trained interviewer meets the respondent in person and records answers on a tablet or laptop in real time. Unlike remote approaches such as CATI (phone) or CAWI (online), CAPI allows physical interaction with products, packaging, and visual materials — making it the method of choice for sensory tests, in-home trials, point-of-sale audits, and research among hard-to-reach populations. At Fieldstat, we run CAPI fieldwork across all 16 voivodeships in Poland, with GPS-verified interviews, real-time data upload, and full audio-recording capability on every session.
Where we go — and why it matters. Fieldstat maintains a nationwide network of field interviewers spanning all 16 voivodeships. We cover Warsaw and Krakow as easily as a village in Podlasie. Every interview is GPS-verified, time-stamped, and available for audio playback. This level of control makes CAPI research in Poland the gold standard for studies where context, observation, and physical interaction drive data quality — hall tests, in-home product trials, exit polls, and research among populations with no internet access.
What you get that no other method delivers. A live interviewer can hand a prototype to the respondent, rotate shelf displays, photograph store conditions, and adapt to unexpected situations on the spot. They observe body language, record environmental details, and probe open-ended answers in ways that a phone call (CATI) or self-completed online survey (CAWI) simply cannot replicate. If your research question involves touching, tasting, smelling, or physically comparing products — CAPI is the only reliable answer.
Timelines and investment. Face-to-face fieldwork costs more than remote methods — you are paying for interviewer time, travel, accommodation, and equipment logistics. A typical 500-respondent project takes 2–4 weeks and starts from approximately PLN 80–150 per interview, depending on location difficulty and questionnaire length. We are transparent about this: CAPI is not the cheapest option, but for the projects where it is needed, no alternative delivers comparable data depth.
The trade-off to consider. When a respondent sits across from an interviewer, they may give more socially acceptable answers — especially on sensitive topics like finances, health habits, or politics. For those subjects, the anonymity of CAWI typically produces more candid responses. We will always recommend the right method for your specific research question — even if it means steering you away from CAPI.
Our field team covers the entire country — urban and rural. No location is too remote for our network.
Hand prototypes to respondents, rotate packaging on shelves, pour samples — things no screen can replicate.
Every interview is geolocated and can be audio-recorded. Full transparency for your compliance and quality audit.
Seniors without smartphones, farmers in rural Poland, patients in clinics — CAPI gets to audiences that CATI and CAWI miss.
We map locations, define the sample, plan routes, and estimate timelines and costs — before a single interview begins.
We program your survey for tablet with validation, skip logic, photo capture, and GPS tagging built in.
Field team is trained on the research topic, product handling, and respondent engagement techniques.
Interviews are conducted on location. We monitor progress, quotas, and quality daily — with GPS and audio verification.
You receive the cleaned database, photos, GPS logs, and optionally an analytical report with strategic insights.
Pricing starts from approximately PLN 80–150 per completed interview, depending on location, interview length, and logistical complexity. A 500-respondent project typically costs PLN 40,000–75,000 including all fieldwork, travel, and data delivery.
A standard project with 500 respondents takes 2–4 weeks. Concentrated studies in a single city can be faster. Timeline depends on geographic spread and target group availability.
Anywhere in Poland — respondent homes, retail stores, shopping malls, clinics, trade fairs, agricultural cooperatives, public offices. Our interviewer network covers all 16 voivodeships.
Every interview is GPS-geolocated and time-stamped. Audio recording is available on request. Our supervisors conduct back-checks with respondents and review data for consistency patterns.
Choose CAPI when your study requires physical product presentation, in-context observation, reaching offline populations, or collecting photographic evidence. For everything else, CATI or CAWI will be faster and cheaper.
Yes — this is CAPI's core strength. Interviewers can present physical products, packaging variants, shelf displays, prototypes, and printed materials. We handle logistics for product storage and transport to field locations.
For topics like personal finances, health habits, or political views, the interviewer's presence may trigger socially desirable responses. In those cases, we recommend anonymous CAWI surveys. We will always advise the method that fits your research question best.
